She laid there on the bed in the dark. They had shut off the electricity long ago and all the other utilities as well. It was fine until night time came around. Around the time when it grew dark she would lay on her bed and cry.. Wondering why she was here, why this was happening, why life had turned out the way it did.
The audience was stunned as she ran off stage in the middle of the song, sobbing. What had become of the Ukrainian Cinderella?
Verkusha had a hella bad day. 😦 Let’s give her a hug!
There was a box in the attic… packed away for years. Andrei would never talk about it… everytime Vera brought it up, he’d change the subject. She just wondered what exactly was in there?
“No one believed me.” Vera said, leaning against the wall. “They refused to believe that Oleksiy would do something so horrible. I’ve had to live with the painful memories ever since I was 17. And to think, he’s still out there..” she shuddered, then broke down in tears in Andrei’s arms. It was in that moment when Andrei made a promise to protect Vera from any kind of harm what so ever.
Andrei and Vera were walking along a tiny path on the side of the road, giggling happily. All of a sudden, Vera stopped. “Andrusha… do you see that?” Andrei looked in the general direction that Vera was pointing in. “No… what are you looking at?” “This!” she said, heading towards a box. He followed her, unsure. “Oh my gosh.. Andrusha!!! It’s… it’s… a kitten!” The little kitten showed no signs of injury and was very affectionate. “Aww.. it’s cute. Someone just left it here, I guess…” “Andrusha, darling… can I keep it?” “Okay… it’d be nice to have a cat!”
“My worst fear is coming true…” Vera said, shaking. Her ex-boyfriend, Petro, had just escaped from the mental institution, and was on the loose.
We all know what happens… Verka kicks his ass 😄
Her voice trembled when she told him the news. She was dying… and there was nothing the doctors could do.
So yes, this spoils a bit of my Laskovyj Maj/Teatr Danilko crossover… so yeah, spoiler.
She was the unpopular, “disgusting” girl in the school, and he was the attractive, popular new boy. They were the most unlikely couple. They had passionate sex the night of the big formal dance, and she ended up pregnant. His parents thought she was a lying slut, and moved back to Poltava, splitting them apart for what she thought was going to be forever. After she gave birth to their beautiful daughter, whom she named Nataliya, she realized she couldn’t raise her alone, so she put her up for adoption. Years later she was reunited with Andrei… but the only thing Vera loved in life more than him was their little girl, and everyday she lived with the regret of giving her up.
That’s sad. It was originally gonna be part of my fic series, but I scrapped this idea altogether.
She walked around the corner, and bumped into him, knocking him down, causing him to drop all of his books. “Oh! I’m so sorry!!” she said, helping him pick up his things. “It’s quite alright. I’m Andrei.” “Nice to meet you. I’m Vera.” she said, shaking his hand. Could this be the beginning of something special?
This was originally how I was gonna make Verka and Drusha meet. But, I don’t know if I like it.
Everyone believes in something… for Vera, it is Andrei’s love for her. To her, it is the only thing pure and real in this world.
