“You Can’t Go Home”

Andrei walked up the stairs to his apartment. He was finally home, after waking up from a two-year long coma. He put his key in the door, but it wouldn’t go in. The locks were changed. He banged on the door, wondering what the hell was going on. Vera opened the door, and turned as white as a ghost when she saw him. “Vera! My love!!” he said, kissing her. She pushed him away. “Andrusha… don’t.” He looked at her confused. “Vera, what’s going on?” “Andrei.. I never expected to see you again. The doctors said you would never wake up… I moved on… I’m sorry, but we can’t be together.” She shut the door in his face, and he sat against the wall and cried.
